Whoever designed this wasnt thinking....

First let me start off by saying that I love this collection. It is beautiful, elegant, and extremely good quality. However, this serving bowl is so small, it barely holds enough side vegetables for 4 people. And that is if the 4 people eat very little. I couldnt believe how small it was! Considering I really dont use my china for dinner parties under 6 people, there was no way I could make this bowl work. To put it into perspective, I sat it nexty to the Vera Wang soup bowl that comes with this set, and they were a strikingly similar size. Too bad, I love the way the bowl looks,

I love this bowl but it is so small, especially for the price. I have place settings for 12 and this bowl will probably only serve 4-5 people on the high side. If you don't mind buying 2 then go for it.

Soooo sad this wasn't good

So I have this pattern china and I LOVE it, but the serving bowl was a HUGE letdown. I have the platter, the teapot, I love them all I get this in the mail and I have to return it because it says it's 9.75 inches but that's from rim to rim. The interior space could only hold about 2 cups, maybe 3 cups MAX of any given food product. Totally worthless except for nuts, olives, or truffles. Really dissappointed... wish there we more sizes available.
