I was pleasantly surprised with this kettle. It’s very attractive and light weight but sturdy! The copper color looks great in my kitchen and coordinates beautifully with other copper cookware. Love the whistle sound as well. Happy with my purchase!😊

Having been an owner of a fabulous English Simplex tea kettle, this one pales in comparison. The two flaws for me are that it takes a long time for the water to come up to a boil and the handle is hot so that you MUST use a silicone pot holder (I think it may be slippery otherwise). Also I noticed a layer of limescale from the first boil, so you definitely need to rinse this out each time after using. Of course, this tea kettle is much, much more affordable than Simplex, so there's that consideration. It does it's job, albeit not in the most efficient way. I do like the glass lid so that you can see if the water is at least beginning to boil after waiting a good long while.

I like the see through lid. If hard water is a problem, simply use VINEGER and let vinegar sit inside a few minutes then rinse. If hard water lime buildup is really stubborn repeat with VINEGER and may use a non-abrasive scrubber if needed. After Ive used it a few months, I'll write an update regarding the whistle, the handle, how quickly water heats up, and the how it pours.

Thus far, this kettle is High Quality and super loud! I hope it withstands the hard water in my life.

This is a great teapot. Heats up quick and is easy to clean. The glass top is a nice touch as well. It looks super fancy on my stove. Got it on a crazy sale so it was worth it. I would never pay full price for this though.
