It doesn't have much of deep bowl but it would do for your special occassion formal dinners. If you want more volume, you can use the other pasta bowl which has more volume but more informal in style.
I needed plain dishes to blend with some beautiful Polish hand-painted pottery dishes I just got, which have the most wonderful sheen. In looking for something that would blend with the pottery yet stand well on their own, I happened on this pattern. And, what a winner it is! It's a high sheen porcelain, heavier in style and weight than many porcelain dishes, so it blends well. What most impresses me is the obvious quality: the feel of the dish, the weight, the sleek, classic lines. If you're "into" plain patterns that have real style, this is a real winner. I am trading my well-used, daily bone china dishes for these, and and I'm so pleased to have made this choice. As one friend said when she picked up one of my Artesanos, "Wow, this is excellent quality!" Amen!

I was looking for this plate for a long time before buying it. I am so happy I finally purchased it. It is simple but so beautiful. I love it's color (kind of off white) and it's size as well. Just the right portion of pasta fits in the plate.
