Arrived broken and a customer service nightmare

It arrived broken and I cut my hand opening it. It took me two days to get through to macys to request a replacement. Instead they processed it as a return (I had to reorder) and now won’t stop emailing me asking why I haven’t returned the original yet or they’ll be charging me for it. The broken shards are already in a landfill. I’ve spent weeks on the phone with macys and nobody seems to be able to help me. Macy’s customer service is dysfunctional (worse than Pottery Barn). Will never shop there again.
