the glass is dishwasher safe but the metal holder is not. it’s very hard to remove the glass from the holder. the holder is very uncomfortable. it’s going back.

I found these glasses in a lovely store in Spain, while traveling. Purchased them and had then sent back to the US. Originally purchased 10, gave 4 away as gifts and kept the rest. They are absolutely lovely and durable. I have not incurred the problems of previous readers and highly recommend them.

I got it for a friend, because she is the fan of this brand. When I got those cups in mail I was so disappointed. The glass is very thin, almost impossible to get it out of the holder. But worst of all -very uncomfortable to hold in your hands.

Over the years I’ve bought these glasses and as a glass or two has broken, I’ve replaced them. Although the metal holder is well-made and exceptionally sturdy, I can’t say the same for the glass which is of a poorer quality. Not worthy of the Villeroy name. I have enough of these metal holders now to fit other more sturdy glasses into. So I won’t be buying these any longer. And that’s a shame.
