Runs small

I ordered my usual size, 8.5 wide calf. Shoe size runs about half size small, i think a 9 would have been better. As far as the width for the calf, its runs very small, if felt more like a reg calf size. I usually fit into the wide calf but with this one it looks like I’ll need an extra wide calf, it they have it. The material of the boot look kind of cheap too, I expected better from this brand. Color was more of a bright dark red rather than a burgundy color (like what’s appreciated in picture).
