Nice BUT from ankle to calf is too tight!

Beautiful boot...BUT... i bought the Extra Wide calf boot, I was hoping that I had found the perfect boot...NOPE.. It is a well made boot, nice leather, but.. when I tried to put them on, they would not zip up past my ankle bone. I have thick legs with 171/2 calf. The calf would probably have fit, but the ankle going up to the calf is too narrow to zip up. Very sadly had to return.... :(

SHAFT SIZE WRONG

I love the classic, simplicity of this boot. And the leather is very nice. But the sizing for the calf width is flawed. I first tried this boot in a regular size shaft. Too tight. Then ordered a wide width shaft. I just received them and they're too tight as well! I measured my calves before ordering these boots and they're just under 16 1/2 inches. Do I order an extra wide calf now?? What a waste of time back and forth! Ugh.
