Sooooo pretty. I wanted vintage looking flatware without the antique threat of vintage lead, etc and this set is STUNNING! The back of the box explains the era each utensil is replicated after, so there is thoughtful history behind each piece, some dating back to 1680. The forks are not obnoxiously large as some reviews say ~ these pieces are pretty typical of restaurant/hotel-grade flatware sizing both in overall length and width, even the fork tines. But I will say that the patterned design at the base of the stems is wider than my current (standard) flatware, so a few pieces (like the dinner fork) do not fit into my dishwasher's (Bosch) pre-slotted flatware holder. This is not a deal breaker for me because my dishwasher also has a few flatware bins without slots, so unruly items (like pretty forks!) are still easily placed for cleaning. Other reviewers were right--the variation of this set fits nicely with current pieces in any silverware drawer-so no fussy need to match everything.
