Wavelength is a party game where two teams compete to read each other's minds. It's a thrilling experience of TALKING and THINKING and HIGH FIVING that anyone can play—but it also has some of that deep word game sorcery, where your decisions feel tense, strategic, meaningful. Each round, one player has to guide their teammates to guess where a hidden target is located. But they can only give a clue on the spectrum between two concepts, like "Hot - Cold" or "Fantasy – Sci-Fi." And the closer to the target's center, the more their team scores!

Good for big group

I was gifted a copy in exchange for a review. I think that if you have a reliable group of game buddies, then this would be a good addition to your board game nights. I think it is the most fun when you are close friends, so that it is easier to be on the same wavelength hopefully meaning that your team will score the most points on your turn. I like how easy the set up is and quick this is to play. It is not that confusing to figure out. The game can be appropriate for the whole family as well.

Perfect for Game Night. The more, the merrier!

Wavelength is a fantastic social-guessing game, perfect for those who love wordplay such as Codenames and Hues and Cues. The box itself has stunning artwork and is so eye-catching on my game shelf. And I love the cool, retro look to the device included. The objective of the game is to guess what your team leader is thinking by getting on the same frequency and scoring the most points. It’s an easy game to learn for ages 12 and up with no limit to the number of players. There’s something to be said about a game that gets people talking and interacting with one another. Wavelength provides insights into how other players see the world. Even if you’re not too familiar with your teammates, you’ll be talking, debating, and high fiving in no time.

Two Thumbs Up for Game Night and Family Gatherings

This is a super fun, easy-to-learn game that you can play with groups of all sizes. We like playing in cooperative mode (where the whole group works together to earn points) to maximize the conversation when we have smaller groups. The concepts are always thought-provoking and often funny (example: “Smelly in a Good Way vs. Smelly in a Bad Way”), and they spark great debates. It’s an excellent pick if your crowd likes wordplay (think Apples to Apples or Codenames), and it gives everyone a chance to shine without being too high-pressure.
