We Dream of Space

I’m not sure how I felt about this book. I was the same age as the twins when the disaster happened but I didn’t see it live. There wasn’t nearly as much build up for us as there was for Bird and her siblings so it was just another event that happened around us. That being said, I would not want to go back to that time in my life; the everyday angst they deal with gave me anxiety and I’m so far removed from it now. I can see how this story would appeal to a younger audience but for me, it was not for me. The Challenger launch is mentioned but it’s also something that happens in the background. I would have liked more focus on the event.
