Okay read

Surprisingly a quick read even tho I thought the author tried too hard in using descriptive language. A lot happening-I liked most of the characters, but at times the story seemed too convoluted. I think what bothered me the most (read the First Edition, hard copy) was lack of continuity in two places & the first was early on so I think it affected my overall view. The first "mistake" = p102 Avery is sneaking out & "She tucked her wallet into her back pocket..." & then on p118 her mom surprises her in hallway outside her apartment as Avery sneaks back and "Avery opened her purse and grabbed her wallet, keeping it hidden inside." Avery doesn't have her purse with her & her wallet she had previously tucked into her back pocket!!!! That slip-up really bothered me & I hope editors fix prior to any reprinting. Second "mistake" = maybe not a mistake but on p284 Jared has the drive ("Looking at the drive in his hand") & on p288 Avery now has flash drive & gives it to Jared who "reached out his hand for the slim casing..." That wording kind of made it seem as if that was the first time he held it. I then felt there was something missing regarding who had the drive & when, & thought it was important to be more clear about the drive...That's probably a little picky. For those who like legal thrillers, this could be added to your list.
