Great little heater

I am Surprised at how well this little heater works. The thermostat works great at keeping the room at a set temperature. I also like the timer feature. My favorite part is that it doesn’t have hot coils like other space heaters. It simply blows warm air across the room lowering the whole room temperature not just where the heater is positioned.

nice unit

The last space heater I had (it died last week) was from the 1970s. I am happy to pay more for a heater that lasts! I hope this 5 year warranty is an indication of vornado's longevity. Initial impression is good. Nice that it throttles back the heat and fan as the setpoint is reached. Once the room is warm, it can idle along like that and barely make any noise.

Works wonderfully!!!

I bought this a few weeks back for my child’s room. It’s far better than any other portable heater and the safety features are great! The only bad thing I can report is the plastic material it’s made out of emitted a very pungent chemical smell for awhile. It really bothered me but it’s seems to have gotten better or maybe I’m just used to the smell. I know some plastics contain carcinogens and your manufacturing should be considerate about warning people about olfactory triggering fumes. Otherwise, great little heater!!!

Heats Up Large 1-Car Garage Well

When I received it and saw how small it was, I was skeptical that it would heat up my pretty large 1-car garage, and disappointed because I wasn’t sure if it was worth the price. Any criticisms I had of it were erased near immediately when I used it for the first time. Now, nearly 2 months later, it works just as well as when I first got it. It is excellent at heating up an entire room quickly and thoroughly (there are never cold spots despite the poor insulation of my garage) and/or maintaining a specific temperature. The thermometer gauge is also extremely accurate and the touch screen works perfect. This review was NOT sponsored in any way, though I wish it was, lol.

Good heat

I’ve had the Vornado for several weeks. My last Vornado I had for 20 years. It was well built and provided good heat. This one seems to be the same although made form plastic versus metal. This unit came with a very pungent plastic smell and after several uses it still has it although it is getting weaker. This is why I give 3 stars. Other then that it has been working well.

Poor execution

These heaters have a ‘night mode’ that Tim’s the display, but does nothing about the giant red light projecting on the wall. Vornado is clearly aware that it’s annoying to have lights on at night, so why not have the ability to turn them ALL off? Scratching my head over here.
