Macys gave my purchase away

Very dissatisfied and disappointed with macys. I purchased this item for a Xmas gift . And it never showed as ready to pick up. So I figured I will just wait for a refund in my card if I don’t get the package. Next thing I know, January 8th 2026 I received an email saying my package was picked up at herald square 34th street. And my card was charged. How did that happen if I never picked it up. Someone must be stealing at macys to have confirmed a pick up. Which it never happened. I called customer service to find out who picked up my stuff and they claimed it was me and are refusing to refund me. This is very upsetting. I thought very highly of Macys that’s why I wanted to order for pick up. But i see that store are not very loyal with their customers if they want to steal packages not claimed .
