Spooky made easy

I bought this for my son's birthday cake (he just turned 37!) and it was perfect. Easy to bake in, easy to decorate, and perfect for Halloween or Day of the Dead in the years ahead.

This is big sized (like the size of your head) and absolutely perfect for your spooky cakes. It's heavy and nice quality.

Loved this Halloween Cake pan

So if u are using 1 box of cake mix you will need to place half of the mix into this cake pan and use the other half in another cake pan. You cannot use 1box for 1 pan or else it will overflow. I used 2 pans and baked in my conventional oven for 25 minutes and came out great!

Terrible Information

Thanks, Wilton for the terrible advice in using any 2-8" cake recipe for the skull pan mold. Right now, my cake has filled in completely on the top and is overflowing into the bottom of my oven.. Because I was skeptical, I even took out enough batter for TEN cupcakes! This is supposed to be my little grandson's birthday cake. I'm very disappointed.

Does NOT hold 2 layer mix!

Overall this pan was great! I only caution bakers that it does NOT hold a 2 layer mix as the instructions say it will. I believed the instructions and my cake grew out of the pan and closed of the nose. But, I was able to easily trim the excess off the top with a cake leveler. Also, watch baking time. The forehead was still wet while the rest of the cake was done, but perhaps that would not have been an issue with the right about of batter. Release was pretty easy with a well greased pan.
