I checked this out in the library. It is under YA, I’m only commenting because page 236 is concerning. If you are a parent, your teen shouldn’t really read this. I usually think of YA as teen level, but mentally and physically not all teens are there yet. So for parents who have teens, I write this review. That passage alone, makes it adult in my eyes. I was 15 once, my parents would never had let me read that. Just my 2 cents. I would recommend to an adult. The storyline is fine. It is a fairytale setting, but that passage just didn’t really belong in the book.

Loved Liesl

This reminded me of traditional Grimm brothers fairytales, but was so much more. I loved the classic fairytale elements, but loved how the characters had more depth and development than in a traditional tale. The Goblin King and Liesl were so intriguing and real.
