Yes, please!
As a kitchen witch and self proclaimed libation queen, I found myself intrigued at the latest offering by Julia Halina Hadas, WitchCraft Cocktails. What I found inside was a collection of perfectly named drinks (The Reaper, Ace of Swords, etc.,) that contain elements of ritual and incorporate astrology, crystals, herbs and seasons (among other tools) into potions that promote manifestations. Most of the recipes require some prep work such as making the infused ingredients or shopping for the botanicals required (many of which a practicing witch will have on hand). The author demonstrates her vast knowledge consistently throughout the book and the cocktail pictures scattered throughout are gorgeous! I found that some of the cocktail recipes are a bit too involved for me to want to try my hand at due to requiring prep work and ingredients that are not easily sourced (think orange blossom water, jasmine flowers, saffron strings and activated charcoal to name a few). Instead, these are exactly the concoctions I would gladly pay top dollar for at a craft cocktail establishment where presentation also accounts for the experience. Someone please open a WitchCraft bar near me! This is a gorgeous reference book filled to the brim with information to help the alchemist in all of us. I will certainly visit it again and consider it for gifting options for my witchy friends as well. Many thanks to Adams Media and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this digital ARC in exchange for an honest and authentic review.

Gorgeous and Inspiring
YUM, okay yes just yum! These are some of the most delicious sounding cocktails, as well as some of the prettiest. Made extra tasty with the addition of some gorgeous syrups and sparkly adornments, the concoctions in WitchCraft Cocktails are an inspiration! Cleverly organized by season, this recipe book is just plain fun to read. Starting with Fall, of course, we’re encouraged to stir up a witch’s brew, or a pumpkin martini. And plenty of unique drinks for the other seasons as well. I can’t resist commenting on the absolutely stunning photos included in WitchCraft Cocktails. Each concoction is artfully displayed in an appropriate glass, beautifully garnished, and surrounded by items to compliment it. Most of the recipes require specially made syrups, but most look easy to make and can be stored in the fridge for awhile. This is one beautifully designed cookbook. Cleverly written and gorgeous to look at, WitchCraft Cocktails would make the perfect gift. And kudos to the authors whose knowledge of mixology is equaled by their knowledge of mystical stuff, and definitely has my taste buds craving 5pm!

Can't wait for a party to use these recipes!
Love this book! I am neither a witch nor do I drink more than an occasional something socially, but I am interested in natural processes and being in alignment with the needs of our bodies and our world. This book includes mostly alcoholic drinks, but also a good number of non-alcoholic ones, like the spiced cider called "The Witch's Offering" and the hot cocoa "Restoring Chocolate Lux." I am going to be trying those as soon as this hot weather turns. What this book does that I admire most is weaving the components of the drinks to what is in season. Some of the ingredients are beyond my liquor (and kitchen) cabinet, but I know that the next time we have an event at our house, I will be going to this book to find an appropriate drink. Each recipe briefly discusses the meaningfulness of the drink and its ingredients to a greater purpose and includes an "Advanced Magic" option. As I said, I am not into witchcraft or casting spells, but they are fun to read. The book is incredibly comprehensive as well. Its "Bartending Basics" and a "Witchcraft Basics" section is just detailed enough to keep the reader interested and engaged. I especially liked learning interesting facts about crystals, herbs, and many foods. The presentation is beautiful, and the photos inspire a person eager to try his/her hand at becoming a bar master. I recommend this book!

Much more than I expected
This book is so much more than I expected! I thought it would be just a book of witchcraft cocktails but this had quite a lot of useful information. I had no bartender knowledge but this book gives you that in a concise, easy to understand way. It had enough information on astrology, tarot, and herbs to satisfy curious minds, and provides that information in a way that is helpful to understand why different cocktails have certain ingredients. I'm quite impressed with this book and can't wait to try many of these drinks!

Excellent...Beautiful & outstandingly written!
Beautiful and outstanding! Well written, lots of great information on a variety of topics from bartending basics to preparing special drinks each season with a twist. Witchcraft Cocktails incorporates magical & astrological themes with a focus on spiritual energies through use of herbs, crystals to help unblock one’s chakra’s…to keep the mental, physical, emotional aspects in balance. I highly recommend this book for those interested in learning to make enchanting craft cocktails (or mocktails). It’s a delight read with enticing photos and makes a great gift. I plan to try something new each season. Love the ‘Summer’s Celebratory Sangria’, ‘Lovely Lady’ and can’t wait to try the ‘Witches Cauldron’ next.
