I highly suggest sizing down. I’m a size 10-12 normally and ordered a 10. It laid exact on both the shoulders and hips, sitting on both without loosely hanging or any stretching but it had no shape or cinching, it looked like I was a rectangle. It gave no shaping, especially at the waist. If I had time I would have sent it back for a smaller size, but instead, I put a tac on both sides of the waist to bring it in. The dress material has a lot of stretch to it and I think it would have had better shaping and curves if I had sized it down.
