Assembly took about 5 hours for 2 people. Slats are too far apart, maybe 4 or 5 inches. I had to buy a budgie board so mattress wouldn't sag. The under-bed drawers are not connected to the bed, but on wheels, so they move independently, and don't always stay in place.
