Beautiful but Petite too Long-Waisted

I think this dress is gorgeous. I am 5'2" and usually between missy and petite for most things, but dresses I usually need petite. I tried on a 12 missy in store, which was long, but fit great in width. So I ordered the 14P. The front, torso, and length were perfect, but the lace part up the back to neck / sleeve was way too much fabric, even on the petite. From waist to armhole, it seemed okay - it was just the lace sleeve part that was made too big. It would have needed too much alteration, so I will need to return.

Didn't work for me but might work for others

I'll give this 5 stars because it's a beautiful dress for the right figure. Unfortunately it was not for me. My shoulders and back were too broad, plus I'm a bit chesty, so I couldn't zip it up. Sizing up it would have been too large in the hips. If you are an inverted triangle, skip this dress. If you are a lovely pear, this dress will probably look great on you!

Beautiful Dress

LOVE THIS DRESS!! I am short (5 ft. 1), and usually wear a size 10, but a size 12 Petite is perfect! I have inch and a half heeled sandals, and the length is just right. As Mother of the Bride, wearing it to my daughter's wedding in July. 😊
