No Go!

I used the primer as instructed and it simply didn’t work for me. My face felt silky nice but then upon putting on foundation it would get ‘cakey’ so I ended up returning it.

That "cakey" effect or pilling often occurs due to a mismatch between formula bases (for example, pairing a silicone-based primer with a water-based foundation) or applying too much product. To prevent this, we generally recommend: Less is more: Use only a pea-sized amount for the entire face.
The 60-second rule: Allow your moisturizer to fully absorb before applying primer, and let the primer "set" for one minute before applying foundation.
Application technique: Try "patting" your foundation on rather than rubbing to avoid disturbing the primer layer.

Understood the assignment!

This does exactly what it claims. It reduces pores, controls shine all while maintaining a balanced moisturizing effect, as it doesn’t make the skin look or feel dry like some matte primers

Nice finish

This is a nice variation primer from the usual since it gives more of a matte finish on the face. Nice to change it up a bit, without looking dried out. Also, love that it was on sale and I didn't even know it!
