Good, but could be better

Nice and sharp, holds the edge well, but it took a slight bend after only a couple of days of use

while working with customers, this is one of the most unique and most requested specialty knives. The sharpness of the blase, the extra length and the comfort of the handle make this not just the best Salmon knife , but for cutting anything thin or delicate, including slicing layers into a cake for frosting.

For those who love and eat salmon or have it shipped whole from far-away places, this is the knife for you! That King Salmon from Alaska or Coho from the Northwest will slice up beautifully with this long 12" slicer. The Pro S line is ice-hardened, so you know you are getting a sharp and stay-sharp knife with durability. It will not rust or chip and has a straight full bolster for the best grip and comfort for slicing up that whole fish! A specialty knife that you will be glad you have!

Classic salmon slicer

Perfect for lox and gravlax. There are sometimes when only a specialty knife will do. This knife is for a professional or cooks who enjoy having just the right tool for a task or a recipe. The super sharp blade, which is easy to maintain and sharpen because of the quality of the steel, has the hollow grooves which allow it to slide right through the fish without unnecessary drag. The length ensures that you slice cleaning and completely with on stroke.

Very long & flexible slicing knife!

One of the great Zwilling slicing knife to have, it sure is the excellent salmon knife. With its length and flexibility, slicing and filleting is effortless!!! It is versatile! This knife is also great for cutting and slicing oversize cake, and brisket. This German-made knife is made of proprietary special formula high-carbon steel, these FRIODUR blades are harder, they will NOT STAIN or chip and they retain their sharpness longer, and has superior resilience.
