Broke when taking out of ear

I bought these for my 22 year old daughter for Christmas, she loved them. Said they were super pretty and she put them on, when she took it out of her ear, it broke in half. :( she was so sad. We went back to Macy's and she got some different ones. But warning, these are junk.
