Nice filigree but had corrosion

This necklace had nice filigree work, and liked the fact that u can carry a little perfume with u. However, it was too heavy and had a corrosion around the tip. I wonder how they did dipped it 14K Gold that may have a discoloration and wonder if it is truly a 14K so I'm sending it back even though the price went down it is not worth it.
