Meet the men s 8” Russet Waterproof Durango Maverick XP Lacer. This rugged style is made from full-grain leather and features a soft mesh lining along with the Durango Waterproof membrane bootie to help keep your feet dry all day. A removable brush guard kiltie adds a classic touch, while the Durango X-Treme Comfort footbed with Memory Foam delivers lasting comfort and support. Inside, a fiberglass shank provides lightweight stability, and the dual-density midsole includes a firm, shock-absorbing heel for extra support plus a softer forepart for flexibility and comfort. The rolled shank area and anti-torsion external shank help with side-to-side stability. The multi-durometer rubber outsole has tough outer lugs for long-lasting wear and softer inner lugs for added flexibility, enhanced traction, and resistance to slips, oils, and heat. A double row sole stitch around the square toe adds even more strength, and it s all finished off with a 1½ rocker heel.

ADDRESS THE STITCHING!!!!!!

I am on my second pair of these. The second pair have been purchased but not worn yet. The pair I've worn are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, and they are comfortable right out of the box. Now I want to have full disclosure...I wear these boots EVERY day, ALL day! I even clean them up to wear to more "official or formal" events. The leathers and soles are top notch and withstand everything I have put them through. I treat and maintain the leathers often so I'm sure that helps. Waterproofing is more than acceptable for a leather boot. I do have one complaint and the only reason this is not a 5+ star review. That complaint would be the STITCHING!!!!!! Simply put.... Durango stitching sucks! Given the overall quality of this boot and brand, I would think the company could put more effort into providing a stitch that lasts longer than the leather that is purposely perforated with a lot of holes to accept the stitching. My current boots are 4 years and 2 weeks old. Purchased them in early August 2021 and have had them professionally and personally restitched virtually once a year, including the first year, and it's always the factory stitching that is failing. Because boots are my main and almost only type of foot ware, I am not opposed to spending hard earned money on a pair that will last. Durango, keep this lacer as an option because you are one of the few companies offering this style of boot but PLEASE do something about the stitching. I know this is something that can be accomplished because I have other boot companies' product and it's the leather, soles or some other failure points other than the stitching that does them in. So, it increases the manufacturing costs, raise the retail side to accommodate that increase. Most people who value quality are willing to pay for it. The pair I have purchased but have not worn yet will unfortunately be my last pair if this issue is not resolved.

Loved the boots hated the quality

I bought these boots awhile back really loved the look and the felt amazing . 2 months down the line started noticing some ripping in the stitching on the back of them. I work in remodeling and house construction and go thru boots fast but this was to fast. I love their slip on my favorite boots forsure . I just expected these to last me as long but fell way short. Worse part was they were a special order so had to settle for Cody James after .

Quick comfort

Bought these a couple of weeks ago. Finally wore them today for the first time. Great boot overall, would recommend... Only reason why I didn't give it 5/5 is the fitting. I'd recommend a half or full size smaller than what you normally wear. I believe the way the square toe tapers makes it fit bigger.

Great Boot Bad Stitching

These boots were extremely comfortable while I owned them. However the stitching on the rear of the boot comes undone and so I can't love them. Now I could always restitch the heel myself (which I will) but I shouldn't have to do that for the price you pay. Really disappointed because they were the most comfortable boot I have owned and I have worn a lot of boots in my career...

Loved them

I loved these boots I do a lot of home remodel and construction and two months later the lacing on them was coming apart since they were special order had to return them and get something different but I really wanted to get those again
