My favorite cookware

All-Clad Aluminum Nonstick 12 Fry Pan is the best cookware ever! I have the 2 of the 8”. 2 of the 10” and now the 12” to round out my set. Food does not stick. Very little oil is needed. I have acid reflux so the less oil the better. Cleans very well with warm soap and water.

Poor induction

With cooking at home much more due to COVID-19, I decided to replace my Analon nonstick induction-compatible skillet and this one was well-rated. But when I tried it to sauté vegetables yesterday, I kept having to crank up the heat until it was a 9 and the pan still never felt really hot. I rarely have gone above the 6 setting with any other pan. Perhaps it is the relatively small inductive area under the pan that is the problem, but I was not impressed. Going to expand my cast iron and season the heck out of it—perhaps I am spoiled by its superior inductivity, but I have a few dishes where I’d still like a good nonstick.

We Love All-Clad!

We're gradually replacing a hodge-podge collection of cooking utensils and originally bought a set of All-Clad 8" & 10" frying pans at our local BBB. What a joy to cook with! This 12" covered pan completes the frying pan portion of our utensils and it is every bit as good as its smaller counterparts. (Sauce pans are next on the list.) They heat evenly (electric range), and the non-stick surface is the best we've encountered. Preparing food is an art and having good tools makes it so much more enjoyable. We will pass these along to our kids (along with our 100+ year old cast iron frying pan) to encourage them in developing their culinary skills. They're that good. We will continue to be All Clad affectionados!
