Substandard quality

The scale was sent w/out the battery that is supposed to have been included, took to the store to return and picked up the Martha Stewart scale and that was also a disappointment, I was unable to turn on the scale, and the part where the lithium battery is stored is hard to open, so I don't even know if it actually has a battery, nevertheless both seem to be substandard quality from the get go.
