Cute but short ankle straps

This shoe is cute and true to size; however, the ankle straps are too short. I wear a 7 1/2 and have an average size ankle but the straps still weren't long enough after tightening behind the heel. They didn't even connect for me, so it was impossible to buckle it. Will be returning.
