Good Performance but Documentation Lacking

I purchased my ProArt PD500TE primarily for photo-editing and everyday use. I had to replace my old workstation (another brand I will never buy again) as it would not support Windows 11 (so a new workstation was inevitable) and the old computer became flaky (increasingly frequent BSODs for no apparent reason). I chose the ProArt PD500TE for its advertised features and am pleased with its performance. I also took into account the excellent reputation Asus has for its motherboards. I like the system's form factor and the placement of connectors. What I am disappointed in is the absence of comprensive documentation. That includes the lack of accurate pre-sales literature and specs online. For example, the Asus and other websites advertised two HDMI and one Dataport ports in the specs. There was no mention that, in order to take advantage of the actual Nvidia graphics card, I would have to have Dataport cables as the card has four Dataport ports and no HDMI ports. So, I was forced to go out shopping for Dataport to HDMI adapters for my monitors (which only support HDMI). There was little detail to guide me in adding disks, memory and an M.2 SSD. The documentation that came with the machine and what I found online was inadequate. One document I found online described a mounting bracket for a SATA SSD that is supposedly in the workstation but unfortunately doesn't exist. Thankfully, I am technical and was able to figure out what was needed, sometimes referring to Youtube videos. I did add a hard drive and a SATA SSD from my old machine but found I was pretty much on my own. The space allotted for the hard drive was very cramped (by the side-to-side dimension of the case) and, in order to close the case, I had to buy a SATA cable that had a right-angle connector for the 3.5" hard drive (not an issue with the SATA SSD). In looking online for RAM upgrades, I was surprised that Crucial didn't have the ProArt PD500TE even listed. I am not sure why this would be. I haven't upgraded my RAM yet. While these were challenges for me, they weren't deal-breakers. But I would caution less technical purchasers to understand that they would need to do their own research in upgrading their ProArt workstations.

Surpassed my expectations

This systems has way surpassed my expectations. I was planning on building my own computer for doing graphics work but didnt really know where to begin. I then ran across the ProArt line and I prefer a desktop over a laptop so I was sold. So quiet and so fast. Very impressed.
