The only thing that is keeping me from giving the ROG Ally a 5 star review is that purely due to the fact that it uses OEM gpu drivers that are based on an AMD driver from 2024. This seems to cause some stability issues with unreal engine and unity based titles leading to driver crashes. This can render some games totally unplayable due to the frequency of the crashes while some only crash once in a while. From what I can tell a larger memory allocation for the GPU as well as ditching armory crate in favor of G helper seems to mitigate this issue to some extent. That said, over all this is a really neat product that I. Have been using for a while now. I take it with me in my back pack to use on my lunch break at work and the portability has me never wanting to use a laptop for a similar use case ever again due to its ease of use and overall decent performance in some pretty demanding titles like hogwarta legacy or cyberpunk.

Got this the 2 weeks ago to dip my toe in pc gameing and so far this little dude have been a blast. I've been playing on it every night since i got it. Had to do a lot of research on how to set things up but i haven't touched a pc since windows 98 so i had a lot of learning to do. It light wight and feels good to hold. Its runs my games with no problems.

My asus rog ally was slow and broke after 1 month
My asus rog ally was slow and broke after a month so I’m wanting to get mine repair but the device can’t run Fortnite above 60fps lowest setting and i dont know why.

Battery issues
The battery doesn't last more than 2 hours anytime I play a game the fans kick on and the CPU overheat causing the batteries to die even faster

Typically, the battery will only last for more than two hours during heavy gaming in Turbo mode.
