I am very impressed with the thoughtful design of this backpack. This is perfect for day hikes and birdwatching - and great for travel. I got the black-gray print which goes with everything. The main compartment is nice and roomy and is light blue inside so you can see things and find things - there is a zippered pocket and two slot pockets and a small pouch that clips to a d-ring inside the main compartment. There is a nice size front pocket and two side zippered pockets which are great for cell phone or keys. There is an open pouch/slot in the front that would work well for guidebooks. And the back has a trolley sleeve making it easy to slip over your suitcase handle when traveling. The top of the bag has a nice hand-carry handle. I plan to use this for travel this summer to attend a Road Scholar trip - it will allow me to store a light rain jacket, umbrella, hat and a small crossbody bag as well as my Kindle and any guidebooks and water and snacks. Great find!
Perfect personal item
I purchased this travel backpack because it was small enough to meet Lufthansa's personal items size. Just took it on a short trip to Florida to test it out and it worked great. All my toiletries, my iPad, charge cords, wallet, sun glasses and a magazine plus a few other items fit great. I was a little worried about the backpack straps not being padded but they were fine for me.

Stylish travel backpack/purse
I chose it primarily because of the attractive floral gray printed nylon fabric. Secondly, I like the top handle for ease of carrying and also the sleeve on the back which will fit over the extended handle of a spinner suitcase. And I delight in all the outside pockets for water, cell phone, keys, and notebook. Then of course, the interior, which contains a few more pockets, can bring minutiae for a day's outing. It's slightly smaller than a conventional backpack which actually is quite nice.

Exactly What I Was Looking For!
It's the perfect size for a conference backpack/purse. Love all the pockets, especially the deep front one which you don't notice, and it easily fits a notebook/book etc. inside. The attached strap on the matching wallet keeps it safe and makes it easy to find. The top handle makes it easy to grab.

Great Daypack with Convenient Grab 'n Go Handle
I bought this bag as an impulse purchase before a trip to the US Virgin Islands because of the round grab 'n go handle. I travel with a carry-on sized travel backpack and do not like to have a daily backpack strapped to my chest on days when I'm moving locations. This bag worked wonderfully as my daypack, holding a guidebook, water bottle, sunscreen, wallet, etc., even my snorkeling mask and snorkel and travel towel. It worked very well as my purse on travel days because I could hold the pack in front of me with the ring, carry it, pick it up, etc. so very easily. The front zippered pocket and the front slip pocket worked well to hold travel docs, and other things that I needed to reach or store easily. I agree that the straps could use some help with comfort. One days I did carry it as my only backpack, it got a little uncomfortable when I loaded it up. I will be looking for add-on cushions for the straps before my next trip. I bought the silver/grey color which didn't show grime. I used it in a number of damp conditions and everything inside stayed nice and dry, although it didn't get thoroughly soaked so I do not know how water resistant it might be. The water bottle pocket isn't overly large. I could fit my 24oz Owala Sip n' Twist Free in but it was a tight fit. I didn't find the RFID wristlet necessary because I use an RFID wallet. I did find it useful for keeping small items such as keys, extra contact lenses, lip balm, eyeglass cleaning cloth, etc. organized and easily found.
