Great tree
This tree is just beautiful and perfect if you have taller ceilings, but you have a narrower space it fits perfectly in the front window. The needle foliage is totally realistic and as I was with Balsam Hill an excellent product I love the lights because they really resemble a warm glow incandescent light.

Disappointed
Sets too high off the floor. Very hard to fill out the beaches to make it look full. Doesn’t look like the picture on website.

Holey Tree
Easy to unbox and setup. The tree itself seems like it’s missing limbs. There are some big gaps and doesn’t look like the picture.

Beautiful Tree!
This tree is gorgeous. It looks very real. As the sunlight shines through the windows on the tree, the branches look just like a fresh tree. The wonderful thing is that there are no needles to sweep up or watering of a real tree. I have wanted to buy one of these for years and finally did it. I am so glad that I did!

Nice tree but needs more lights
I just purchased my second BH tree. I previously had a 6.5" Fraser Fir which lasted me a good 10 years before the lights died, and I was so happy with it that I decided to buy another one to replace it. At first I considered getting a different one and seriously looked into the Silverado Slim and the Norway Spruce because I like the more modern, slim silhouette and like to have some space between branches for my larger ornaments to hang. But so many reviews complained about how sparse they were compared to the online photos. This year, I was able to visit the BH Outlet store in CA and see all the trees in person. It confirmed what many reviews said about most trees not being as full as how they are pictured online. I ended up buying a taller and slimmer Fraser Fir than what I had before. I bought the 7.5" Fraser Fir Narrow and and I'm happy overall with how the silhouette turned out. However, I do have a few of complaints about how this newer tree compares with my 10 year-old one. First, the cheaper fake branches inside the tree are a different shade of green than the "real life" looking plastic branches. This obviously makes the tree look less realistic and my old tree did not have these color variations. Second, these cheaper paper-like branches have silver needles mixed in with the green ones and this also looks bad. I was told this was a recent change and only on the Fraser Fir but I think it makes these branches look less real. Hopefully this will be less noticeable with the ornaments on, but the tree is essentially two different shades of green and the cheap branches have these tiny pieces of silver in them. (see pictures). Third, for the price of a BH tree, I'm pretty disappointed with the number of lights. On my old tree, I had both white and color lights. This time, I only have white lights. The specs on the web site show the Fraser Fir has 800 lights and 650 for the narrow. A similar artificial tree from Home Depot of the same height has over 2,200 lights and 9 different light patterns/settings like fade or twinkle. For the price of a BH tree, I think there should be more lights and options. Overall, the tree looks nice in my space and should work for my ornaments. I had no problems with the lights or shaping and arranging the branches, and the trunk/pole looks sufficiently covered and hidden. It's not as full as the tree pictured online but I was expecting to have some gaps for my ornaments. I think it is worth it if you can purchase while it's on sale.

Save your money
First time buying Balsam Hill tree and am disappointed - it’s extremely difficult to fluff the plastic type needles so it leaves a lot of holes / not full. For the non-plastic needles, even when handling with care with the gloves, several pieces broke off (10+). For the cost of the tree, I would not recommend.

Much like with real trees, branch tip loss is normal during the first setup, and all of our trees are designed with more tips than the number listed to account for the few that may break or be damaged in transit. Because the sections are shipped compressed, they do require some time spent fluffing and shaping to achieve the fullness shown online, but the memory wires will hold much of that shape and make future setups easier.
