20 days agoI've only taken it on
I've only taken it on one trip so far. The bag seems very well made and I like the fact the handle assembly is outside the main compartment. Only time will tell whether the bag is, indeed, well made. I will say the wheels don't work the best - more issues with rolling this bag than my wife's travelpro. But, the idea was to have a bag that lasts for 20 years so we shall see.

20 days agoGreat suitcase
The compression system is amazing. I am able to pack in significantly more clothes and shoes than previously and actually only compress the suitcase right before boarding to fit in the overhead bin. And with the warranty I am not worried about being overly aggressive with my packing.

Awesome product! Really appreciate its ease in rolling around the airport and it's flexibility with how much I can fit in the suitcase

I did a lot of research before buying and was so excited to get the Baseline 22” expandable from B&R as an investment piece. Sadly, it has not lived up to the hype. The good: The expansion system is unique—you don’t see that every day. And in theory, it should be great. More on that later. The fabric quality appears top notch. After a few flights, I can see it’s gotten scuffs but no tears. The internal organization is excellent. I love the built in garment bag feature and that the trolley runs on the exterior, leaving a flat surface on the inside. The bad: My wheels are not smooth rolling. I have to work so hard at them sometimes. On a trip to Japan, my daughter grabbed my suitcase to help and she even asked why my wheels were like that. I’ve only had this for six months and it’s always felt difficult to roll, straight out of the box. The compression system while a wonderful idea and can be helpful, if you actually need the suitcase to stay expanded, it likely won’t. A little pressure on the exterior of the suitcase will compress it. Finally, the suitcase is heavy. I knew this when I bought it—it was in my research and I thought I would be the only drawback so I bought it anyway because of all the pros. But it turns out that the wheels, the inability to stay expanded, AND the heavy weight make it just another suitcase in my collection when I thought it would be my go-to favorite pick for most trips.

26 days agoIt's not worth the money to me
I travel all the time. I’m not sure why this was rated the best carry-on. There’s no flexibility for last-minute additions, and because it’s a hard case, you have to open the entire bag for everyone to see what’s inside. There are no brakes, so the bag rolls in any direction it wants. On an airport shuttle, it had a mind of its own. It also doesn’t perform well on smaller airplanes. I can’t return it now because I’ve already traveled with it, but in my opinion, it’s not worth the price.

B&R luggage.
Best quality ever. Very durable and dependable. While the luggage is pricey, it is the best in comparsion to other brand luggage purchased throughout the years for short and abroad travel. Worth every dollar spent on the luggage.
