The Best Traveling Companion
I confess. I was seduced by another luggage company’s ads and their smooth talking points and glossy photos. They promised excitement and adventure. What I got was Buyer’s Remorse. Every time I opened their case, all I could think of was “I wish I had gotten the Briggs & Riley. ” Finally, I couldn’t stand it any more. I ordered the Global 21” Carry-on Expandable Spinner in the gorgeous and sophisticated Navy and I’m never straying again. Briggs & Riley is simply the best traveling companion you could ever want.

The bag just returned from
The bag just returned from a two week trip hopping around various cities in Europe from Nice to London. On and off the TGV, down cobblestone streets it performed flawlessly. Expensive…but worth every penny.

Functional and high-quality with lifetime warranty
This was my first spinner B&R purchase, after many years of two-wheelers from the Baseline collection. While smaller than I was accustomed to, the global spinner features a open space that is very functional and useful for whatever you need to pack. Since I do not regularly travel with suits, I liked being able to unzip and remove the internal clothing folder. I also like knowing that there is a lifetime warranty on the product. Caveats: (1) It's very durable and holds up well, but be forewarned that the suitcase is heavier than one might expect. (2) When fully expanded, and with a personal item/bag on top, I find that the wheels did not operate as smoothly as I would like. The suitcase sometimes "pulls" me off course, which I found a bit frustrating. This is probably a weight distribution issue, but the wheels did not operate as smoothly as I would like, which means more stress on the forearm/wrist to redirect the suitcase when in motion. (3) The internal expansion/compression system is easy to use, but I worry about the future of the locking mechanism and whether it will hold up over time.

Mixed Bag
I love Briggs &Riley as a brand and have an awesome backpack from them I’ve had for years. I was excited about the Baseline Global and while it has a lot of good features there are a few things that just don’t work for me: 1-Depending on how you’ve packed, the bag has a tendency to want to tip forward. 2-Alignment on the wheels sometimes tend either to roll away or towards you while walking creating a need for constant steering. 3-When lowering handle to a lower point it sometimes takes a bit of trial and error to get it to engage and lock. 4-Empty weight of the bag is high. Flying with status and in business class makes this not an issue but even if there is the chance of occasionally not being in this position and having the bag weighed for some reason, a full week of clothes/shoes for a cooler climate would put it over the limit for some airlines. The capacity, construction, compression system, extra compartment for shirts and blazers, external pockets, zipper quality and all of the other well thought out features are excellent but these 3 items combined rules this out as being a winner for me.

Spinning Globally
I’ve gotten picky about luggage after 30+ years of business and vacation travel. I’ve had handles freeze, zippers jam, and wheels delaminate. Mostly, I’m disappointed with the inefficient interior storage and spindly tie-down straps that frustrate multi-week travel. My Briggs & Riley 21” global spinner changed all that. The innovative compression system, wide tire-down panels, and flat bottom storage make for the most “pack-able” suitcase I’ve ever owed. In addition, the “garment bag” feature has my wife’s admiration as pack her dresses wrinkle-free. I’m finishing a four-week European jaunt that has people asking how I pack so light. My answer is simply, “Briggs & Riley. ”

Durable and stylish
Exceedingly well made and resilient, this versatile luggage is a favorite. I’ve purchased two and would again without hesitation. The quality justifies the expense.

unbeatable guarantee
The international flight broke one of my wheels right off!! Although it was a pain in the neck to roll it around on 3 wheels when I got back to the states my local luggage dealer fixed it and a sticky zipper for free. I wish I had just checked in the UK to see if they could had fixed it while I was there, instead of waiting...it was so easy.
