This mattress looks great on the outside, but don't be fooled. As others have noted here, this bed loses it's firmness after a few months. So disappointing. I put a piece of plywood under the mattress but that only helps so much.
very bad product
We purchased this set only about 6 months ago, now I weight about 160 pounds and stand at 5' 10'', my wife is about 150# and stands at about 5'02'', and the mattress is already showing ups and downs on it, becoming really soft on the spot where I sleep, we tried turning it around, so I sleep on the opposite side, but after a few days it gives out and we are confronted with the same problem again, I'm wondering, after reading the good reviews, if this unit is defective.
Too soft, even for a plush mattress
After doing our research and spending a couple hours testing out mattresses in the store, my wife and I thought we had found the right mattress for our new home. We bought the Alayna Plush and were excited to be getting a new bed. Gradually over the first few months, however, my wife realized she wasn't sleeping well and occasionally woke up with back pain. Now after about six months, we are pretty unhappy with our decision for a number of reasons. (1) The mattress springs are so soft that if we sleep near each other, we roll into a low spot together that is hard to get out of. It's like a sinkhole in the middle of the bed, about 4-5" lower than without anyone on it. My wife weighs about 125 lbs and I weigh 175 lbs, so it shouldn't sink so much with two normal weight people. (2) The springs started making a squeaking noise (even just if the cat jumps on it). Overall, I would say it is the softest mattress I've ever slept on. It has led to poor sleep quality, and we are concerned that it will continue to degrade being that it is only 7 months old. That being said, there may be some people who like a really soft bed, but for us it has been disappointing.
