This glass lunchbox looks great, has generously sized compartments, and is very sturdy, but it is NOT leakproof as promised. Very disappointing since this was the main selling point for me. I had cut up some fruit to put in a small compartment, and filled the other small compartment with cheese puffs. The container was horizontal all day except for my half hour commute to work when it was in my backpack, but somehow the small amount of juice from the fruit made it to the cheese puffs and made them soggy (looked like the juice migrated around the outer seal). I bought this lunchbox so I wouldn’t have to use Glad Press and Seal with wet foods since it’s wasteful and leaves sticky residue, but I’ll have to keep using it anyway.

Love it! The shield on lid gets moldy
Box is worked so well. Do you sell a replacement lid? The shield on lid gets moldy quickly.

Great lunch container!
I love my glass lunch container, and I use it several times a week to take my lunch to work. It holds up well, and I love how fitting the top is. I wish Bentgo offered one of these containers in each color to match the lunch bags. I have the Sand color lunch bag, and I would love to have one of these to match it.

COULLDN'T EAT MY LUNCH TODAY
bought it a week ago and I started having issues with the lid. I couldn't eat my lunch today and I'm starving. i have been fighting g with the lid for 45 mins. very disappointed.

I can't fight with this Lid
Great concept - very study...but TERRIBLE lids. I am constantly fighting to get the lid off when food is warm or there is water on the inside and I have left it to soak for a few minutes. I broke one of the fasteners on the shorter side trying to pry the lid off to heat up the food after removing it from the fridge. I generally wait until the food has cooled before placing the lid on and storing items in the fridge to begin with ...but I don't know what else I could / should be doing.

A step away from plastic!
There's a lot to love about this box! We're trying to move away from plastic, so that was our goal in ordering this--and it was important that our solution be dishwasher- and microwave- safe. I also like that the compartments don't leak into each other (though we haven't tested that too hard). I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it's heavier and bulkier than I expected--the glass for this is very thick--and we're always worried about it breaking. I'll probably look into some of the stainless options and see if any of those tick all the other boxes for us.

Disappointed
Sadly, on the fourth use, the glass broke on both our kids' glass lunch containers even though they were in padded, perfectly fitted lunch boxes. There were shards of glass in both lunch boxes. So disappointing to not even get through one week with these. I loved the design and the idea of using glass instead of plastics, but this just did not work out.
