THIS BLANKET SHEDS SOMETHING TERRIBLE. SHEDDING GETS ALL OVER MY BEDROOM SHEETS, CARPET AND CLOTHES. LUCKILY IS WAS INEXPENSIVE. WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING AT SUCH A GOOD PRICE YOU SHOULD KNOW THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT!

I thought this would be like a Vellux blanket, which are the most wonderful blankets ever (but a red Vellux in King size is super hard to find). But actually this Berkshire blanket is a plusher, larger version of the Berkshire Home throw, which I have on my couch and use nightly (love love love it). So I'm not unhappy, I'm just afraid this is going to be warmer than guests may want. However, it is in a colder room so maybe it will be fine. It's a pretty blanket and I got a great deal from Macy's. I know with Berkshire throws that you have to wash them before use -- but that only applies to their "low-pile" items; Berkshire says to line dry the more plush items (and they say the washer will get most of the water out). And also to wash separately, of course. I haven't had a problem with my throw blanket pilling once I washed and dried it; hopefully this huge one won't either.

I use this as a bedspread when I don't want a comforter. Soft and lightweight. Perfect with a top sheet for the summer nights and nice for extra in the winter.

I love that this blanket is longer on the sides than most blankets !This blanket is soft, and cuddly ! The color is so pretty! It is very well made ,there is ribbon on three sides that matches the color of the blanket.

Waited too long to open, unable to return

I thought this was going to be like my older Berkshire, which is velvet, and has 2 pieces. It is not. It’s a single ply, very thin, almost felt-like. NOT velvet. I miss my old blanket 😭 I need to find my old blanket!

PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS! It looked soft and beautiful when it arrived buy after a washing, I had lint in the washer and dryer. Like tons of it. I washed and dried again, and it got worse.
