Bought to vacuum the stairs (on CR recommendation)

sweepstakes: the real reason for this review (otherwise I would not bother) My old Dirt Devil fell apart. I bought this Pet-Hair Eraser specifically to vacuum the stairs. Before buying it (online, directly from Bissell), I checked ratings and recommendations. It works beautifully and is light enough for an older person who cleans her steps all by herself. Would buy it again any time (it won't happen though: the Pet-Hair Eraser will outlive me -- I am 88+).

It will still be cleaning stairs long after I am gone

i bought it to vacuum the stairs (my Dirt Devil broke in two pieces, after 15 or 20 years). This one does not weigh a lot and I can use it in spite of my age (89); in other words, it is exactly what I needed to keep clean stairs. [I would not bother writing a review if it were not for the sweepstakes -- I understand I have to use that word in the review, and so I did.]

Not what I thought

It is like a shop vac. It picks up hair but you have to be careful using it because it blows everything else around.

I wouldn't buy again

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It's a good little vacuum however the vents on the sides just blow the dirt around making it difficult to pick everything up.
