I've had this carpet cleaner for only a couple of years. I am cleaning it properly but in the last few try I've been using it, the cleaner hasn't been doing what it's supposed to do. I'm having trouble with it sucking up the dirty water and it doesn't have the capacity to shampoo the carpet anymore.

So many quality issues
I must have gotten a lemon because I have had nonstop issues with my unit. At first, the water tank was leaking due to a manufacturing issue which needed to be replaced. Now after the second time I've used it in 8 months, I noticed a burning smell and found out that the belt was damaged. Aside from that, the dirty water tank looks big, but the max fill line is a small fraction of the actual tank itself which means I have to empty it often. It leaks water everywhere, so I have to bring a towel with me to wipe up my hardwood floors as I go from rug to rug. The only thing I like about this thing is that it's lightweight. I've had great success with Bissell products before, but their quality seems to be going downhill. I would invest in a higher quality vacuum over this model.

broken belt soon after purchase
I have cleaned two 5x7 oriental rugs, one 11x14 oriental rug and two 5x3 rugs, This product cleans well. BUT after just that much use, the belt to the rotor brushes broke. I am NOT happy about that,

Horrible, barely used and failed
What a total failure and piece of garbage. Used once, spray failed completely. It's now just a (weak) vacuum ....

its ok, leaks often
we use this carpet shampooer to shampoo our home monthly. it seems to clean pretty well. but there also always seems to be something leaking. if its not the clean water tank, its the dirty. but we don't leave the tank dirty so I can only assume the brown puddle found later is from water that was throughout the machine since we empty the dirty tank prior to putting it away.

I would not recommend, only thing good is dry time
I have used this product, from HSN, on area rugs. It uses so much soap and clean water that I would have to get at least half a gallon of shampoo to do a full size room. The dirty water tank goes to full when it's only 1/4 way full. It only does a so-so job of cleaning. The only thing is the 30 minute dry time is pretty spot on.

Would not recommend
Loses suction frequently. Water sits on the carpet. On a positive note it cleans fairly well when it works properly.

Highly recommend
I just received my carpet cleaner today and started cleaning a deep urine stain. My carpets are beige and man did it remove most of the color and smell already. I'm happy we purchased this cleaner. I was worried the stains wouldn't come it but low and behold they did. Thank you Bissel!
