This was a gift from my MIL Christmas of 2017. 13 months later, January, 2019, no more ANYTHING... no light or power. It worked yesterday. It won't even blink today. Where are the good ole days when appliances lasted half a lifetime? I actually search for vintage stuff anymore because it actually still works! ...washing machine, vacuum, etc. I guess I'm going to be searching 'vintage coffee maker' now.

Doesn't last long
Bought coffee maker in November 2017 and not even 2 weeks of owning the item the heating plate stopped working. Not worth the money I spent on it.

Burns coffee
Had it for 2 days. The heating plate gets so hot it burns the coffee immediately.The machine gets very hot too and steams like crazy and makes my coffe taste like plastic. Option at bottom asks if I received a free product. When trying to select option it chooses yes and that’s the only option. Does not allow you to choose anything else. I did not receive a free product.

Lasted less than 3 weeks
I just moved to a new city about 3 weeks ago and picked up this coffee maker. It was working great until all of a sudden the heating plate stopped working. I'm having a hard time believing it wasn't able to last 3 whole weeks before dying. I'm extremely disappointed because this brand is so familiar and I was expecting a lot more.

Clock runs fast
Last year my husband and I bought this model especially for the programmability. Shortly after a year of use the clock started running fast :( We figured it was probably some type of fluke in the wiring, we bought another a week ago. This morning we discovered our new coffeemaker has the same issue which makes the one feature we were counting on useless.

Stopped Working
We've been using this coffeemaker for less than two years, and it quit heating water this morning.

Garbage
I bought this coffeemaker 2 years ago when we moved into a new place because it seemed simple, utilitarian, the right price & Blacker & Decker was a brand I grew up with (Dad had a lot of tools) & I've always associated it with quality. It worked fine, all we needed/expected and then crapped out after abut 10 months. Now, we don't use it everyday - on average about 4 days a week - so I was a little surprised at its short lifespan. My other half just picked up another one & brought it home. This morning I wondered why I didn't smell coffee & when I checked it, I thought I'd forgotten to set the timer. So I just pressed the 'ON' button and.....nothing. I unplugged it for a few minutes & plugged it back in and....the clock works fine. No action with the coffee brewing part of the game. This pot lasted 11 months. Now, I'm familiar with built-in obsolescence, but this is ridiculous. I'm disappointed in this product & will be replacing it with a different brand.

I have only had this a couple weeks and it quit already. I have had coffeemakers last 10 years with no issue, but this is sad.
