Looks nice/Lightweight/Heats Fast

Bought this for my elderly mother who was having trouble lifting/carrying her old fashioned stovetop tea kettle from the sink to the stove. I have the dark grey version of this one and recommended it, but she wanted something to go with her white kitchen...most of the electric kettles out there these days are glass or black/stainless and are heavy. She has been using this for a few days now and is delighted. It has a large enough opening that she can leave it in place on the counter next to the sink and fill it with the faucet extension. Heats up fast and is not heavy even with enough water to fill her teapot (about half full/1 liter). Looks sleek and has cord wrap underneath so no long cord all over the counter. Got free shipping and it only took a few days to arrive. She's very happy not having to lift and carry the heavy tea kettle with her arthritic hands and shoulders, and also with how fast it heats up. Can't speak to how it will last, but the Black & Decker one I have has worked for several years, so I feel good about buying this brand, and the price is reasonable.

Unnecessary red plastic inside!

I just received this kettle today and am quite surprised that there are 3 red plastic pieces the size of nickles, that seem to show where 1-3 cups would fill to. This makes no sense to me. Don't most people just fill and use the outside window as a guide? Why add built-in red plastic pieces that will be boiled each time?? I don't want that. Sadly, I will be returning it unused.

Best electric kettle

Of the 100 s of items I have purchased from Macys this is one of my favorites!! Unlike the black and stainless steel kettles this white kettle is so aesthetically pleasing on my counter!! I use it to make both tea and instant coffee. Only takes 2 minutes to boil. Blue light illuminates then at boiling point it automatically shuts off.. unlike stainless steel the white is much easier to clean.! My daughter remarked that it actually looks sharp on the counter!!Looks great works great!!
