Not a smart robot: buy better than this one

Bringing Bob into my home feels like being trapped in a bad relationship. It sweeps the floor adequately and even manages to transition from floor to carpet, but it is extremely lacking in navigation and problem-solving. It will repeatedly bang itself into the same wall or piece of furniture and can’t seem to find its way back to the charger. When I get home from work, it is usually stuck in a corner or under a piece of furniture. I find it to be a huge source of frustration and disappointment. I’m already thinking about what my next vacuum purchase will be and I’ve had it for only a few months, but since it is an expensive piece of hardware, I’m going to be stuck with Bob for quite a while.
