Proper Use of Boundaries

I read this book and participated in a class using it as the textbook twenty-five years ago. Like many good things in life, we need reminders from time to time. We get busy with life and often settle back into old ways. Even at my age, I needed the reminders that I garnered by reading the book again. To best benefit from it, the book needs to be dealt with like a textbook. Working through it in a support group is even more beneficial if such is available. Either way, get into the book and learn why we need to set boundaries, how to go about accomplishing that, and where to turn when you hit a few bumps along the way. Obviously, setting boundaries with others who are not even familiar with the concept can be almost impossible to do on your own. A strong support group can provide great help and guidance. Each one in the group can learn from everyone else. As the Bible tells us in Proverbs, a three-strand rope is much stronger than a single strand. I urge you to join with others and learn the valuable lessons in this book.

Wonderful and possibly life changing

I'm personally a Christian, I read this book before I was one and I enjoyed then and even more now. I took the concepts mentioned here and applied to my life and have given me so much clarity with my challenges and why I was there in the first place, fast forward now after I re-read it with my new found faith it has open up more revelations for me personally and how it relates to my co-dependency, childhood trauma and many more. it's something I would recommend to study to if you're facing hardship of saying NO or having struggle to find reason of why you're losing so much joy in things that usually gives you one (this is based on my own journey) *People skills book would upgrade this to higher level too because setting boundaries could be challenging without one, learned it the hard way lol
