Nothing but issues

My dad bought this for me as a gift and from the beginning it has only leaked, won't brew all the water or will keep saying insert geraff this coffee maker has ruined my cupboard and drawer

Machine sporadically leaks all over the counter

Bought this in February and after a few weeks we started having coffee not going into the carafebut onto the counter. It has to be babysitted. No matter what setting it is on this continues to happen.

Almost perfect

I've looked at this brewer for a long time and finally pulled the trigger. Overall, I'm very impressed as it makes coffee very close to what I can do with my V60, for much less effort. My previous machine was a MoccaMaster which, while trouble free, struggles a bit in ground saturation and has essentially no adjustment options. Accordingly, the ability to set the water temp, bloom time, and flow rate on the Breville are very welcome options. In addition, overall I find the build to be sturdy and thoughtful with a couple of notable misses. First, and most significantly, is the lack of a "drip tube" in the carafe. This is kinda a big deal as the stratification of the brew detracts in the cup once you realize to look for it. It can be reasonably well dealt with if you shake the carafe a bit before pouring if you remember to. Second, the ground saturation is quite good but not up to a reasonably good V60 pour. It gives me a bit of a pause when I see some small traces of channeling in the brew bed but, as before, the quality of the coffee is very close to V60 with less effort. I opened this item very carefully expecting to send it back, but I'm not going to. The other maker on my list was the Fellow Aiden which seems a bit underdeveloped right now and currently at almost 2x the price.

Finally a good one!

Had a Breville Grind Control that was ridiculously unreliable. Replaced it with this and have zero issues and excellent coffee ever since.

Recuring Problem

I really like the coffee that is made in this brewer. However, every now and then, when brewing coffee, I come back to the brewer, and I find coffee all over my counter. For some reason, it decides not to drip into the carafe and instead spills out all over my counter. Very frustrating. This is too expensive of a machine to do this, and at this point, I am close to chunking it in the trash and buying something else.

Practically Perfect

We have really loved this coffee maker. We don’t use all the features but can say it has consistently brewed a great cup of coffee for us for a few years now. I really love how it automatically adjusts the brew and bloom for a smaller pot of coffee. My only complaint is with the controls. The clock has never really worked and runs very fast, requiring constant adjustment. And right when the warranty ran out, the timer quit working altogether so now we can’t set coffee to automatically brew in the morning. Everything else works great and the machine is frankly too expensive to replace over this after such a brief period. Not quite the quality and lifespan we’ve come to expect from Breville but the coffee is excellent.

Breville Precision Coffee Maker Issues

Very disappointing. There seems to be a sensor problem. When I went to brew coffee I was getting a message to “ FILL TANK” even though the was water in tank. I had to empty the water dry the sensor and refill the tank. I also get a message to “Insert Carafe “ even though the Carafe was in place. I decided to return it. Too much work to make a cup of coffee.

Almost 5 Stars

We have had this machine for almost 3 years now and we love it! EXCEPT....... you can't clean the lid!! The one part that coffee goes through every single time it is brewed and poured, you can't clean!! You can hear water/coffee sloshing around in there, so stuff gets left behind, im sure. That's just crazy to me and for this price, you be able to. Or at the very least be able to buy just the lid as a replacement part, but nope. YOU HAVE TO BUY A WHOLE NEW CARAFE!! So like I said, almost 5 stars.
