Almost perfect
I love the 3-1 but I have 2 concerns: First I wish the air fry mode was a little more powerful. Second I don’t like the fact you have to wait 3 minutes in microwave mode to wait to use air fry mode. Love the unit though!

Transformer malfunction in microwave
Terrible microwave. Broke down with transformer malfunction after one year. Still waiting for repair from breville three months later. Repairer said this is becoming a common fault with this microwave.Terrible service and had to buy another microwave in the meantime. Never again will I buy any product from breville.

Very satisfied after 3 years
We were a bit worried about buying an expensive microwave/convection oven that didn't have great reviews. We were most worried about the appliance malfunctioning in the one or two year time frame. We have now had the appliance for 3.5 years and it still works well with daily use. Knock on wood! I expect appliances of this type to last at least 5 years so hopefully we don't have issues for a while yet.

I would purchase separate machine for better result
Overall, the quality is good except for the door, which is mostly plastic. The microwave works well and is spacious enough for most plates. However, the air fryer is disappointing — it doesn’t make food crispy and feels more like a convection oven than a real air fryer. The fryer pan also lacks a handle, so you need an oven glove each time you check the food. On top of that, you have to preheat the pan for about 3 minutes before using the air fryer.

Wonderful Appliance
I had been thinking about buying this item for many months - as someone who had the Breville Microwave and Toaster Oven and had a typical one bedroom condo kicthen I wanted more counter space and wanted to get rid of my Breville toaster over but for those rare times I toast bread I wasn't sure the Combi 3 in 1 would toast bread. I finally discovered it will by using the 'Grill' function - problem solved. I know have lots more counter space. Granted this product is slightly bigger than the old microwave but not a deal breaker for me. The combo 3 in 1 has only been in my kitchen for about a week but so far no complaints - it is much quieter when running than my old Breville microwave, love the soft door close and really appreciate the inverter function that actually lowers the power level for even heating at lower power - not just alternating full power off and on!!! Have limited experience with the appliance so far but overall happy with purchase and consistent with my other breville items I own.

Evidently Faulty manufacturing
We have bought and returned \ exchanged 3 of these microwave air fryers in the past 5 months. Every one has had sane issue error code 3 (something to do with heating element). We troubleshooted by removing power for 15 mins to reset bit problem continued. We then thought it was our outlet, moved to multiple different outlets around kitchen / living area but same issue persisted. Even exchanging for two brand new ones same problem persisted. After the 3rd we have decided to return and buy a standard microwave for a cheaper price (definitely not a Breville one). I see after googling the issue that many people have had similar results as us When it worked it was great however at least twice a week the error would occur and this was extremely inconvenient for my wife given we have a 3 y/o and newborn at home. We probably won't ever buy a Breville product again. Useless product do not recommend.
