Perfect carry on

Great piece of luggage with ample space, nice compartments and the best feature of easy compression to expand/collapse the luggage as needed.

Very big for a medium

Great suitcase, but it’s huge! I wish I bought something smaller.

Great bag some flaws

I have been using this bag for a year now and mostly love it. My only gripe is that it’s too heavy starting out. 10lbs before you get anything in it is a lot. But I love that the bottom of the inside is completely flat, that’s the feature that made me buy this bag over the others that I researched. I don’t usually use the garment bag part so I remove that extra flap to save weight. I use this bag with the compression cubes and toiletries bag and everything fits perfectly. There have been a few times that I put everything in, compress the bag down, and when I stand it up the top compression part releases, not sure if my bag is faulty in that regard or if they all do that. Over all, the bag looks great and I like it but I’m not convinced it was the best bag for the money.

Bulletproof after multiple 30 day overseas trips

I write this as we just returned from hiking and touring Switzerland, The Dolomites and other travels. We have the medium spinner and have put it through brutal testing in Europe and US . multiple flights of stairs in villages an and airports. A key is keeping things under 50 lb. It is easy to walk with for multiple miles on sketchy terrain in weather. Crucial is the strapping that lets you manhandle these on trains planes, autos, and busses. Amazing. We have pushed the feet beyond all reasonableness. Taught us to travel for months with this suitcase, a backpack and a man bag or purse. Well done highly recommend.

Wheels are sub-par.

I am a fan of B&R generally with several suitcases and a backpack. Re the 22” spinnger, the build quality is outstanding. The ratchet system for expansion is OK…. maybe over engineered a bit. My big complaint are the wheels. The bag will not roll in a straight line and as a result twists in your hand when pushed. It gets really annoying in big airports. Travel pro platinum (my old bag) wheels are infinitely better in this regard. These wheels should be better given the price point.

Not worth it

Bought this bag as an alternative to a shoulder bag. Its awful. It doesn't sit nicely attached to my Briggs & Riley carry-on because of the wheels (so when attached, it constantly shifts which then makes it difficult to remove). It makes the carry-on plus cabin spinner together too top heavy and difficult to navigate on any surface other than a smooth airport floor. The "laptop" pocket is so small, it'll only accommodate a small tablet and the gusset fabric constantly gets stuck in the zipper. It doesn't fit under any plane seat (multiple airlines, multiple flights) and it doesn't fit in the smaller overhead compartments either. The only benefit is I don't have to carry a backpack, but that doesn't come close to outweighing all the negative things about the bag.

Disappointed Flight Attendant

I spoke with no less than 10 people who have and love this bag before I bought it. Maybe my hopes were too high, as everyone raves about it. I’ve only used it for two trips and will update if anything changes. I’m really hoping I grow to love it, or maybe I got a bum bag with bad wheels and sticky handle…. PROS: - light-colored lining makes packing and finding things a breeze - it’s compact and slim but holds a ton - the compactness of it makes it easier to carry up a flight of stairs than other, bulkier rollaboards - seems durable, but I’ve also seen them beat to crap by heavy travelers who say it’s hard to find repair shops these days - easy to pull up a step or onto a bus/train—the lower part of the handle casing allows the bag to slide up easily and doesn’t get caught. I really appreciate this CONS (which are pretty major to me, since I pull my bag for several city blocks multiple times a week): - THE WHEELS: when I spin them with my hand they stop almost immediately. My old bag’s wheels spun smoothly and for a longer amount of time, so it pulled smoothly and easily over surfaces like rough concrete. Not this one. It feels like how my old bag felt when it needed its wheels cleaned out or a new set. Not looking forward to how this rolls when it gets gunked up by city grit and airport/aircraft dirt and dust. Also, it sounds and FEELS like a shopping cart when you roll it over concrete—it’s not smooth on my arm/hand. I can feel the vibrations in my arm. Also: IT IS LOUD. - the handles are sticky and tricky to pull out and put down— considerably worse/more difficult than my old bag, which wasn’t exactly the most smooth - external pockets aren’t quite expandable enough for my liking. I miss being able to shove a book or water bottle into an external pocket. I knew this going in and was told by someone that you can fit a water bottle in the small back pocket. A small plastic water bottle would fit but anything larger threatens to fall out.
