Poor quality stainless, doesn't clean well

After two uses, a stained mess with black burnt on stuff I can't get off Nothing like my 15 year old Calphalon Sautéuse that's thick, satiny stainless, so smooth and easy to clean, a joy to cook in. This 5qt pan is thinner, cheaply made, felt rough even before I used it . The sides have all these striations that catch/ hold and embed burned grease. . It looks unfinished or poor quality stainless, an alloy. It took an hour with Barkeepers Friend the first time to clean it. After 2nd use, black and brown stains I cant get rid of. I wanted it for searing meat, and it looks awful. All my other old stainless cleans up so easily, no scrubbing needed. This newer Calphalon is of inferior quality..

Top Quality, Love It!

I'm so glad I upgraded to stainless steel! This is a beautiful pan. It cooks well and feels high quality. My only wish was that the lid for this 1.5-quart had the same built in strainer in the lid like on the 3.5-quart. That feature is genius! It's so convenient and alleviates having to clean an extra strainer.
