Shoes run small.

I normally wear a seven 1/2 or an eight and these shoes seem small. I'll try returning them and getting an eight 1/2. Based on just a size 8, they were very pretty but not comfortable.

Classic dress shoe

I’m a sling back girl regardless of season. I once had a sales associate advise against sling backs without adjustable straps ( beware this shoes strap is not adjustable, the strap only has a bit of elastic give) but I have never had a problem with either style of strap. Comfortable wear all evening kitten heal that is just a touch fancier than a block heal

These feel like cardboard on your feet. No cushion and they run wide. The slingback would not stay on.
