  • Product Features

    • The DIGIC Accelerator chip is a completely new front-end processor developed by Canon to supplement the power of the proven DIGIC X processor.
    • The DIGIC Accelerator handles the processing that makes so many of the new features of this camera possible, allowing the DIGIC X chip to focus solely on image processing, again contributing to incredible speed.
    • Even though the pixel count is the same as the EOS R5, this is a completely new 45MP sensor design.
    • This new full-frame sensor is stacked and back-illuminated allowing for incredible electronic shutter performance of 30 fps RAW or full-resolution JPEG still images.

Old photographer review of the R5 Mark II

I have been using the 5D Mark IV for a long time and wanted to add the R5 Mark II to do wildlife. Some of the things that I like the R5 are: 1. The Auto Exposure Bracketing will take the three photos, in drive mode, with out having to use a timer; 2. The Focus Bracketing. What I do not like is that if I have the Viewfinder only, the back screen will not come on when you press the menu button or the Playback button.IT only can be see in the viewfinder. That is coming from the 5D use that I am use to. But that is a personal issue and not the camera. all the photos are from the camera without editing.

Way over hyped, I would rather buy a Nikon as the colors and the auto focus are terrible on this junk

Not worth the hype

Autofocus does not work atleast half of the times, even though it is set to focus eyes. This happens even when subject is well lit, eyes are clearly visible and settings are correct and battery has full charge. I never use eye controlled focus. It is a real let down. Noise increases rapidly as you go higher ISO levels. Clearly evident even if minor corrections are made in photoshop as bad dots and pattern on the face. Canon DPP software makes it blurry (not sure if it is due to bad focusing or
