A very high quality convenient Camera

This Camera works great for me! I'm impressed with the zoom and overall clarity of pictures. Usually the auto modes get things right, but by following advice in the user manual I was able to take some pretty unique shots. Professional quality, and the Wi-Fi connectivity is flawless!

Excellent Product

I am absolutely pleased with this product from ease of use to its slim, compact size to its excellent picture quality and ability to work with low light. The length of the battery charge is satisfactory. I was replacing a digital camera from a competing company that I purchased in 2004.

user info for dummies

I tried for hours to download pictures to a PC. I am not computer savvy. after looking at the camera, behind the rubber end panel there is a port for plugging in a mini B cord. So I purchased a mini B / USB cord. Wonderful. I wish the book with info would have said that this was an option.

Great camera, good price

The Powershot 190 is a great point and shoot camera. Takes very nice up close pictures, my only complaint is between 1-2 inches away from object the focus never catches, below 1 inch yes, over 2 inches yes. It's power seems to lie in quick scenery grabs and the zoom is fairly powerful. If you don't need pictures from across a stadium you don't need to buy anything pricier than this model. It does offer some adjustment for camera savvy people but I personally use the Auto mode more frequently. I find clearing out unwanted pictures much easier by moving the memory card to another device, unless you plan to erase all pictures or a cronological group the camera interface is a bit tedious. It also does not come with a memory card. I recommend a micro sd adapter card to give yourself more device options. The camera also has wifi capability, but this only works with the Canon site/app. It also has a tap to interface option that I have yet to find a device that works with it that is not a high end phone. Overall, I am very happy with the camera and feel the price for the value is quite reasonable.

Works reliably

I have had my 190 over a year now and it has never failed me. I use the wifi utility to transfer the pix to my computer.

This Dog Hunts

The PowerShot ELPH 190 IS, is a pocketsize point and shooter that delivers 20MP resolution with surprising results. Prior to my purchase, I spent a few days in Digital Photography research and realized the 190 IS was more than enough for my project. The 190 IS delivered with features typically packed into a substantially more sophisticated camera. Features such as Wi-Fi and NFC, that make this little mighty mite a snap to transfer pictures to my Note 8 through the Canon Connect App. As days go by with this 190 IS, I experiment more and more with the “Program” functions etc. With that in mind, I have no doubt the 190 IS has reinvigorated my appetite for a much more robust DSLR or Mirrorless down the road.
