Poor quality and service

We purchased several pieces of furniture from Macy’s over the past couple of years that we absolutely love. As a result, when we needed a new dining set, our first thought was to look to Macy’s. We settled on this set from the Macy’s website. Naïvely, we did not carefully study the website to realize that apparently Macy’s has become a marketplace more than a retailer. As it turned out, this dining set was not sold by Macy’s but by a third-party retailer and does not have the quality and support that we had come to expect from Macy’s. First, the delivery of two boxes weighing well over 100 pounds was left outside without the delivery company taking the time to even ring our doorbell. We unpacked and begun to assemble the product. Although the table is quite beautiful, when we assembled the chairs, we found them to be of only fair quality with poor finish and unrefined construction. We reached out to Macy’s, who informed us that the seller would get in touch with us, which they did not.
